Terms & Conditions

Proposals are based on the information you provide, utility usage, roof and electrical conditions, and site access, plus remote or on site assessment. Production and savings figures are good faith estimates modeled on current rates and NEM/NBT tariffs; they are not guarantees of future utility costs, rate structures, or bill savings. Material differences discovered during survey (structural, roof, or main service panel conditions) may require a revised proposal before work begins.

Residential work is performed under a written home improvement contract as required by California law. You have the right to cancel under the three day right to cancel (and the extended right that applies to buyers age 65 or older on certain contracts) as stated in your contract's notice of cancellation. Permits, inspections and utility interconnection are handled by us unless your contract states otherwise, and approval timelines are controlled by the authority having jurisdiction and your utility.

Loan, lease and power purchase agreement terms are set by the third party finance provider you choose and are subject to their credit approval and separate agreement. Tax credits, rebates and incentives depend on your eligibility and current program rules. We are not tax advisors, consult a qualified professional before relying on any credit.

• Provide safe access to the roof, attic, electrical panel and work areas on scheduled days.
• Disclose known roof leaks, structural damage, prior solar equipment, or electrical issues.
• Move vehicles and fragile items from work and staging areas, and secure pets.
• Confirm HOA or landlord approval where required.

Rooftop work is weather dependent. We may reschedule for rain, high wind or unsafe conditions without penalty, and will give you as much notice as possible.

We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions, including deteriorated roofing or sheathing, undersized or unsafe electrical service, unpermitted prior work, or concealed defects that could not reasonably be identified during survey.

Equipment warranties are provided by the manufacturer and are registered in your name. Workmanship warranty terms are stated in your contract. Warranty coverage may be voided by unauthorized modification, third party service, misuse, or damage from storms, fire or other events outside our control.

Payment follows the schedule in your signed contract and applicable California down payment and progress payment limits. Past due balances may accrue a service charge as stated in the contract.

Nuon Energy is a licensed and insured contractor. License and certificate of insurance details are available on request and are listed in your contract. California contractors are regulated by the Contractors State License Board.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost utility savings. Nothing here limits rights you cannot waive under California law.
