When a solar installer goes out of business, three things usually break at once: your monitoring stops reporting, your workmanship warranty becomes uncollectible, and any pending SDG&E interconnection or permitting paperwork stalls. Manufacturer warranties on the panels, inverters and batteries almost always survive — they're contracts between you and Qcells, Enphase, Tesla, SolarEdge, etc. — but you need a licensed contractor to file them.
