Roofing crew repairing a Southern California residential roof beside a solar array
Roof repair · Panel removal and reset

A leak under solar needs one contractor, not two.

Nuon repairs roofs and handles the array at the same time across San Diego, Orange, and Riverside counties. No finger pointing between the roofer and the solar company.

What a repair call covers

Find the real failure, fix it once, put the array back correctly.

Southern California roofs fail at the details. Sun bakes sealant, winter storms find the gap, and older solar mounts are often the first place water gets in. We start with imagery and your photos, then confirm on site before anything gets opened up.

Leak diagnosis before demolition.

Water travels. We trace the entry point rather than tearing open the first stain we find, so the repair lands where the failure actually is.

Flashing, underlayment and penetrations.

Most calls are not broken tile or shingle. They are failed flashing, dried mastic, or a mount that was never sealed correctly on install day.

Panel removal and reset.

Array sections come off, the roof gets repaired properly, then the panels go back on new mounts and flashing with the string layout restored.

Documented workmanship.

You get photos of the failure, photos of the repair, and a written warranty on the work. Licensed under CSLB 1130793, NRCA member.

One

Send photos and the address. We review aerial imagery the same day.

Two

Site survey confirms the failure point and whether panels need to come off.

Three

Written scope, repair, reset, and production verified before we leave.

Repair now, or replace before the next system goes on?

If your roof has more than a few years left, a targeted repair is the right call. If it is near the end of its life and you are adding solar or storage, doing the roof first avoids paying twice for the same removal and reset labor. We give you both numbers so the choice is yours.

Roof repair

Send photos of the leak and we will tell you what it actually needs.

You get a written scope with repair and replacement options priced separately, including any panel removal and reset.

Questions we get every week

Roof repair questions, answered plainly.

Can you repair a roof that already has solar on it?
Yes. We remove the affected section of the array, repair or replace the roof underneath, then reset and recommission the panels so production comes back the same way it left.
How fast can someone look at a leak?
Active leaks get priority scheduling. We start with a remote review using aerial imagery and your photos, then send a technician for a site survey and a written scope.
Do I need a full replacement or just a repair?
It depends on the age of the roof, the underlayment condition, and how many penetrations are involved. If a repair buys you real years, we say so instead of pushing a replacement.
Will a repair void my solar warranty?
Not when the removal and reset are documented. We log panel serials, torque values and flashing details so the manufacturer and your monitoring records stay clean.
